A Painful Lesson - Street Food

One day, Margaret received some pocket money from her mum because she got high marks in the examination. She rushed to tell it to her bigger sister excitedly.

She left her home and went to her friend Kelly’s house. When she reached her home, Kelly’s mother told Margaret that Kelly was out. Margaret was a bit disappointed because she intended to go shopping with Kelly. While Margaret was leaving, she met Kelly. Kelly said, “There is a food stall in a nearby street which sells very yummy fish balls and pork rind,” she continued, “Let’s try them!”

“Wow, I’m so happy to hear that! Let’s go there as quickly as possible!” Margaret said cheerfully.

When they arrived at the food stall, they saw various kinds of street food which looked very yummy.  At first, they bought one stick of fish balls each.  They finished it very quickly and then they bought another stick. At last, they gave all the money to the owner and he gave the girls all the food.  The girls emptied the food immediately and felt very satisfied.

They went back to their own home.  Soon, Margaret suffered a serious stomachache.  She called her friend Kelly and found that Kelly had got the same sickness.

At night, their parents went back home and saw that they were very sick.  The girls told the truth to their parents. At last, the parents scolded them for being so gluttonous. The girls also learnt a big lesson!

My First Camping

Last Summer, there was a wild camping activity held by the school so I joined it with my classmates.  The campsite was in Shing Mun Reservoir. I was excited as it was my first time to go wild camping with them.

It took us more than one hour to arrive the destination. Seeing the campsite, we were delighted.  However, we found some rubbish and droppings on the ground.  One of the teachers warned us seriously, “Don’t touch the poo poo!  You may get bird flu!”  Hearing this, we were afraid and walked carefully so as not to step on it.

The teachers taught us to set up the tents.  They said, “Get into groups of three people and set up your tents as instructed!”

That night, there was a campfire party.  Some teachers were dancing and singing cheerfully.  We all played happily that evening.

A Detective Story - Part 2

She searched around the home for the whole evening.  Since she was very tired, she slept.

The next day, when she was sweeping the floor, something dropped into her home from the window.  At first, Kiki thought it was just rubbish.  But then an idea came to her mind, “Ah, it may give me some clues to find my lost necklace.” Immediately, she picked it up and found that it was a piece of paper which could speak!

The paper said, “My name is called Honesty.  I like being honest and hate telling lies.” Kiki was shocked to find that the paper could speak.

The paper continued, “I know who stole your necklace. It was your neighbour Amy who did that.”  Kiki was angry to know that.

Kiki walked very quickly to Amy’s home because Belinda’s birthday was about to start. When Kiki reached Amy’s home, Amy was holding a gold necklace which looked exactly the same as the one she bought.  So, she rushed towards her.  Amy was too slow to react.  Kiki quickly snatched her necklace and rushed to join Belinda’s birthday party.

At last, the paper said to Amy, “You’ve lost many things, including friendship and trust from others! I will make you disappear in this world and you will live in another world forever!”

Amy was very scared and shouted loudly, “Oh no...” but she disappeared soon.

Since then, the villagers have known this incident so they never steal things from others.
